The objective of this function of the Platform is to have a functional civil Society Platform for Social Protection. The Platform has maintained the functional secretariat set in 2011 with staff including an Advocacy Specialist for the purpose of strengthening the advocacy component. 

 

​The objective of capacity building is to Strengthen CSO and Communities to participate in Social Protection Policies and Programs. The intended outcomes of this program area are to increase the caliber of CSOs advocating for Social Protection as well as to increase the capacity of communities demand for as well as become joint advocates for Social Protection programs in the country. This will help to strengthen oversight for government implemented Social Protection programs by increasing the competence of both CSOs and communities to hold government accountable.
