The following are the main activities that MECCDF undertakes;

 

• Building community capacities to enable them provide early childhood care within their families.

• Establishing community based early childhood care and development support groups.

• Sensitising civic leaders and communities on the importance of the early childhood education in the human development process.

• Empowering communities in life saving skills to help upgrade the living standards of children in the communities.

• Lobbying and advocating for the formulation of child development and care policies inter alia, especially on issues of early childhood education and development.

• Conducting action oriented research on children.

• Promoting and disseminating information on children’s and women’s rights.

• Networking with other organisations sharing similar objectives and ideals.

• Building community capacities to enable them manage issues of HIV/AIDS, gender, development and environment in their communities.
